A bomb does not have to go boom, and not all of them go boom but all cause damage, burn things like people or forests, and litter the environment. These so called flares that the various military planes drop for practice are multi component units contained within a casing and consisting of: one or more flares at least 8 inches long tube or rectangular shape somewhat resembling a roadside emergency flare; at least 1 box of Glass and/or "Aluminised Glass Chaff" cut to various sizes and shapes (and sometimes plastic pieces or sheets of various sizes) sometimes with their own pyrotechnic "Impulse Cartridge(s)"; an "Infrared Decoy" shown above and a pyrotechnic "Impulse Cartridge" that, after launch of the bomb, explodes and scatters all the components into the air.

The photo, taken near Buckhorn NM, is an "Infrared Decoy" measuring 1 inch by 2 inch by 8 inches long and weighing about 1.4 pounds according to this models spec. When ejected into the air from the bomb this patented alloy begins to emit Infrared frequencies similar to what an aircraft naturally emits. On the back side of the unit is generally printed this warning: "Warning Air Activated Material - Fire Hazard Extreme Heat When Opened" or in this case ejected into the air.

Multiple Bombs can be loaded into a Magazine onboard the jet or cargo plane and be released in rapid succession or more slowly.

The Spires Fire: In early December 2017 when the Holloman Propaganda group was here they were ask about the Spires Fire of November 8, 2017 and told about a witness who say a military cargo plane fly over and drop at least one of these bombs right before the fire started. Of course Holloman denied it was them but the fire burnt 400 to 600 acres depending who you ask. I tracked down that Ranch Manager who told me his story of himself and his ranch hand witnessing the event; do I believe him? Yes because he imediatly follow that with, "look, I'm a patriot and I don't want to cause the Air Force any trouble, it was just an accident cause by my neighbor in the sky, (I paraphrase). Every week I call the NM Forestry to find out the progress of their investigation, still no completed investigation.

Tuesday evening January 16th at 6:30 pm there will be a "Community Discussion" at the WNMU Global Resource Center on 12th Street concerning this bombing practice over the Gila.

I attended the meeting on January 16th. Very informative. However the frustrating part was the lack of a plan of action outside calling, writing your elected officials, and downloading a decimal app. Be it important you write and call all elected officials regularly, that strategy cannot be our only action. It is time to GATHER at every meeting, GATHER at every appearance, GATHER AT EVERYTHING AND EVERYWHERE to demostrate how D emocracy works, to support our local Democracy and our Country's Democracy. It is not about what party you are affliated with or who you voted for. It is about the protection of our County, our lands, our wildlife, our Freedoms.
