Silver City artist Tim Read loaned Aurora to the Town of Silver City for installation in Gough Park. Town Parks crew installed it last Wednesday, February 4th.

A Town without art and trees is such a sterile place.

December 10, 2014 the Parks crew poured a slab in preparation for the installation.

thank you Tim Read, thank you Aurora, and thank you Silver City workers &Town deciders.

RE: Gough Park....Do any folks out there have issues with the one man evangelical loudmouth with large speakers who rants in this park on our day of rest, Sunday? If so, please call in your noise complaint. It's not the message I object to but the delivery.

For a short time today, Sunday, I had the scanner on and heard 2 complains concerning amplified noise from Gough Park; walking out my door 6 blocks from the park I knew who they were; those christian fundamentalist/evangelical/jihadist who claim exemption from "the laws of man" by dint of their religion.

at last...someone else who noticed this deranged one man noise offender. I've seen close up his HUGE speakers /compensation for what , I wonder?. Maybe Aurora, goddess of dawn will cast a dim eye upon his disruptive activities....for the time being, though, do call if this activity offends. He is protected by free speech law, but the decibels he uses are another matter.

Perhaps the topic of noise in the park needs a new location since it is a distraction from art. Nevertheless, I would like to hear more since I am looking at homes in the area. Sometimes it seems that the noise ordinance is enforced arbitrarily. Things that aren't a problem are stopped and things that are aren't.

Is the policy enforced correctly for: Preachers with speakers in the park? Barking dogs? Loud motorcycles? Street musicians downtown? Music at Q's?

I live near a small park on Corbin st. This person broadcasts at this park too.
He is not preaching anything...He doesn't have any intelligent thing to say except "testing one two three and Jesus loves crackheads and murders."

He goes on to mention every possible criminal that Jesus could love but never mentions a decent person which makes me wonder if he has Jesus and Satan confused.
